Periodically, we follow up on annual events to add more information for the D-I-Y fundraisers or mentoring directors, i.e., most of us in Oklahoma. Hugely successful events are usually repeated.
On August 25, 2014, we posted about many of the fundraisers of Volunteers for Youth.

Here is a press release about the 2015 Green Country All Star Games, which honor high school students, make more friendly competition and activity possible, and raise funds for Volunteers for Youth programs. 'Definitely a win-win for everyone.
Note that the Green Country All Star Games will be immediately followed on May 30 and 31 by the annual “Serve for Youth” tennis tournament. What organization and energy of the Volunteers for Youth staff and volunteers!
Nearly 150 senior all star athletes from approximately 27 area schools have been nominated by their high school coaches for participation in the 2015 Green Country All Star Games. Softball, Baseball and Basketball games will return May 29th to Catoosa Public Schools and will be hosted by Volunteers for Youth.
The softball game will begin at 10 am, baseball starts at 2 pm, girls basketball tips off at 6:30 pm and will be immediately followed by the boys basketball game. All Star cheerleaders will cheer and perform at the basketball games. In the event of rain, softball and baseball will be played on Sunday, May 31st.
Tickets may be purchased from participating athletes or at the gate for all events. Tickets for the events are $5 for adults and youth for all sports. Children 12 and under are admitted free to any event with a paid adult.
The Green Country All Star event allows senior athletes from area high schools an opportunity to showcase their talent to family, friends, and college coaches. It is a unique opportunity for them to compete with and against the elite senior players from the area. The athletes get the opportunity to close their high school careers in high-profile competition.
The Green Country All Star event provides Volunteers for Youth the ability to continue serving Rogers County at-risk youth through mentoring, after school programming, a classroom setting for students on long-term suspension, and an alternative to juvenile court for appropriate first-time offenders. This will be the 14th year that Volunteers for Youth has offered this opportunity to Green Country area senior athletes. Volunteers for Youth is a Rogers County United Way supported organization.
